This was such a great date! The costumes and performances were wild and entertaining. There were a ton of crafts, which is like a visual fiesta for me. We picked up a beautiful blown-glass paperweight for Doug. We also took the time for a romantic souvenir, this wax sculpture of us holding hands:

We'd only been dating a few months when she dragged me off to the Renaissance Festival. On the first weekend in March, South Florida is as hot as a charcoal grill. I felt bad for the goofballs running around in costumes. 20 minutes watching MooNiE the Moronic Whistling Dipshit killed all compassion, as we waited to meet up with our friend Lisa. The coup de grâce was getting our hands dunked into hot wax every few minutes, for half an hour for the trophy pictured above....
